Engineer CV Format: Stand Out in Pakistan 2026

You spent five years earning an engineering degree, completed internships and built real technical skills, and your CV still gets ignored on Rozee.pk and LinkedIn. The gap is rarely the qualifications. Pakistan produces thousands of engineering graduates every year, and employers consistently report that the difficulty is finding candidates who present their skills in a form a hiring engineer can assess quickly.

Where does PEC registration go on an engineer CV?

Near the top, with the discipline prefix, and not buried in a certifications list at the end. Practising as an engineer in Pakistan requires registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council, and employers and clients verify it. A reviewer checking whether you can legally be assigned to a project should find the number in the first few lines.

Two details lift an engineering CV above a generic one. State your discipline role and project stage, because “Project Engineer” means different work in design, execution and commissioning. And name the codes and standards alongside the software: “ETABS and SAFE for multi storey design to ACI 318 and the Building Code of Pakistan” says far more than “ETABS” alone.

How do you build the CV step by step?

• Put the facts down first. Projects, education, certifications and registration before any prose.
• List technical skills honestly. Only include tools you can discuss in an interview. Claimed skills get tested on screening calls.
