Aviation Pro Resume Template
Built for airport ground staff: check-in and passenger service agents, baggage and ramp handlers, load controllers, cargo staff and station duty officers. Not for pilots or cabin crew, who are assessed against a different record entirely.
The page is laid out as a service record in the style of an operations document, with a personnel strip carrying your role and licence, staff reference, years of service, aircraft handled and nationality. Sections use the vocabulary of the ramp: Operations Brief, Operations Log, Ground School, Operations Suite, and Authorizations and Certifications.
Who this template is for
This template is for staff who work the airport, not the aircraft. Pick this template if you are:
- A check-in agent, passenger service agent or customer service agent at an airline or ground handler
- A ramp agent, baggage handler, pushback operator or ground support equipment operator
- A load controller or weight and balance officer
- Working in cargo operations, warehouse or air freight documentation
- A station duty officer, turnaround coordinator or flight dispatcher on the ground side
- Applying to PIA, Airblue, SereneAir, AirSial or to a ground handling company at Karachi, Lahore or Islamabad
- Applying to a Gulf carrier or handler such as Emirates, Qatar Airways, Etihad, flydubai, dnata, Swissport or Menzies, which recruit Pakistani ground staff in volume
Why this template works for ground operations roles
Your role and licence sit in the personnel strip
Role, licence type and licence or reference number appear in a labelled strip at the top. Ground handling is a regulated environment and station managers check authorisations before experience, because an unauthorised hire cannot be rostered airside.
Aircraft handled is a field of its own
Which types you have worked is a real hiring criterion. A handler who has turned around a Boeing 777 or an Airbus A330 is being assessed differently from one who has only worked narrow body domestic flights. The strip carries it explicitly so nobody has to guess.
Years of service, stated plainly
Aviation ground roles often advertise a minimum number of years, particularly for Gulf recruitment drives. The figure sits in the personnel strip where a screener can clear you against it in seconds.
The Operations Log reads like a record, not a story
The experience section is presented as an operations log, which suits how this work is actually described: stations worked, shifts covered, flights handled per shift, turnaround times met. It invites specifics rather than general descriptions of duties.
Authorizations and Certifications is separate from training
Safety and regulatory credentials are not the same as a course you attended. Giving authorisations their own section keeps dangerous goods training, ramp safety, security clearance and airport passes together where a station manager expects to find them.

How to write a strong ground operations CV
Station managers hire on authorisations, aircraft familiarity and the ability to hold a turnaround time. Write to those three things.
Name your authorisations exactly, with the issuing body
Write what the credential is called and who issued it. In Pakistan the civil aviation regulator is the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, and airport access requires a valid security pass.
List aircraft types, not just airlines
An employer is matching you to the fleet they operate.
Give flight numbers per shift and turnaround times
This is the measure of the job. Vague descriptions of duties tell a station manager nothing about whether you can work their schedule.
Write load control work with the detail it deserves
Load control is a responsibility position and should not be written as general ramp work. Name the aircraft, the system and the scope of your sign off.
Put safety record and disruption handling in writing
Ground handling is judged on incidents avoided. Mention clean safety records, damage free periods and how you performed during irregular operations, because that is what distinguishes experienced staff.
Foreground languages, they are part of the role
Passenger facing staff are selected partly on language. State English clearly, and name Urdu, Punjabi, Pashto, Sindhi or Arabic where you have them. For Gulf carriers this is frequently a scored criterion rather than a nice addition.
Frequently asked questions
Is this template for pilots?
No. It is built for airport ground staff: check-in, passenger services, ramp, baggage, load control and cargo. A pilot CV is built around licence type, ratings and logged hours, which this layout does not foreground.
Can cabin crew use it?
It is not the right fit. Cabin crew are assessed on safety training, service record and appearance standards, and most airlines recruit through their own application form rather than a CV alone. The Hospitality template is closer for service focused roles.
What if I do not have a licence number?
The strip works without it. Many ground roles are governed by training records and an airport security pass rather than a personal licence. Put what you do hold in Authorizations and Certifications instead of leaving the section empty.
Should I include a photograph?
Optional here, and the header shows a styled initials panel when you leave it out. For Gulf carrier applications a photograph is normally expected, so include one when applying there.
I am applying to a Gulf airline. Is this enough on its own?
Gulf employers usually also want nationality, visa status and personal particulars, which this template does not carry in full. Many candidates apply with this CV where the role is operational and the Gulf Professional template where the employer's form expects the personal block.
How long should a ground operations CV be?
One to two pages. The personnel strip and the authorisations section carry most of the screening weight, so the operations log should be specific rather than long.
I am new to aviation. Can I still use this?
Yes, provided you have something to put in Authorizations and Certifications, even if it is only completed training. If you have no aviation record at all, the Fresh Graduate template may present you better until you have a first station role.
